Another amazing day in Punta Coco!!
At the bottom you will find a link to another video montage of amazing fishing moments with lots of billfish action…but keep reading this first!!
As I always say, there are a few things I never get tired of hearing:
“Buy anything you want!”
“There is still pizza left.”
“This is the best fishing of my life!”
“Your staff are AMAZING”
Our guests Eric and Glen are having a great trip here – they say every day is like National Geographic fishing with all the sea life and action everywhere.
When we were reviewing the photos for tonight’s post – the guys both kept saying “oh yeah – forgot about that one”. You know it’s a good day of fishing when you can’t even remember everything you caught!!
THEM: “You guys have the best guides”
ME: “I know!!”
GLEN: “These guys are guides and half! They are so keenly interested in helping people catch a fish, they stop at nothing, they are incredible”
The species count keeps racking up for these guys – but the big prize came today with a new and much desired species to add to the list…MAAAAAARLIN!! The 350 lb blue was caught on live bait, and safely released after a healthy 40 minute battle.
Exhausted after this workout, the gang headed home…oh yeah, with a few quick breaks to catch a sail, 2 roosters, an amberjack, tuna, and dorado.
Here’s a sampler of the day:
MARLIN, BABY!! All hell breaks loose when Eric hooks a big blue…he puts on a brave face as he fights the blue marlin for over 40 minutes…
Here is is just before being released…
A yellowfin they snapped up on the way out to the marlin grounds in the morning…
They come home and Shannon prepares some celebratory cocktails before a nice dip in the hot tub…
We had some drop by guests today in this spectacular boat, “Prowess”…
I was especially excited because on it was a woman named Trish, who is the captain and a multiple Grand Slam tournament winner, also manages to do all this in a cute skirt and shoes! Yes, maybe I have a bit of a crush.
I have been dying to have some women anglers on this ship, and maybe this will encourage y’all!!
Below is Trish fighting a 700 lb black marlin.
They were fishing in the same fishing grounds as us just a few days ago.
LADIES, GET DOWN HERE!
Below, the Prowess group joins our guests for a lovely dinner together.
Which ends with a Passionfruit Souffle accompanied by homemade Vanilla Ice Cream.
WE ARE ON FIRE HERE IN PANAMA!!!
Here’s the movie:
Good night from Paradise,
