Outpost Update ~ 14 Aug "perfect"

« Back to Posts

How would you define a perfect day of salmon fishing?

let me know if you think these photos would speak a thousand words towards that definition...

Flat calm, no wind.

T-shirts, bent rods.

Clear water, lots of fish.

Big fish & great guides.

Peacefull, fun.

New aquaintences, adventures and places.

A birthday and the biggest catch of your life.

Some friendly competition and good humored ribbing.

Miles of untouched wilderness to share with a dozen friends.

And the cherished KRUD "Green Jacket" if you can take down Marky-Mark (last nights winner).

I noticed that one nice fish in the clear water then held up appears to be an adipose fin clipped hatchery fish. Of all the fish you have posted I think this is the only one. How many do you get in a season? When I fish HaaNeeNaa on Dundas Is. in Dixon entrance in mid june we have never seen a clippie in 10 years. Would be interesting to see if this fish had a nose tag and where it was from. You might want to purchase a "wand" that the fish checkers use to detect the super tiny tag, remove the head and freeze for some fish data. What an incredible sean all the lodges have had up there.
