Abundancia 650lbs Black MarlinMarch 6, 2012
Hi Stephanie Here!
I have been on the Pacific Provider for over six weeks now filling in as the General Manager. What a exciting adventure it has been. I have learned a lot about fishing and am so surprised of all the different species Panama has to offer. I have seen over 11 different species since I have been here. I am used to Haida Gwaii Halibut, Salmon and Ling cod. It is really neat getting to eat all this different fish. What a amazing place. I never want to leave!
Since I have been here it has been non-stop busy. I have seen many anglers come and go, and last week we had a full house of Panamanians who simply just wanted to escape the city. There is not a better place…
Today I actually got to leave the ship! Shannon, Dilsa and I Kayaked to the WCFC beach.
It is sure nice (and different) waking up to sun everyday!
I am so happy to be here and can’t wait to see what excitement happens tomorrow on the Pacific Provider.

The Abundancia (means abundance in Spanish) had a great day today. Captain Jose and Mate Andreas hooked into a massive 650lb Black Marlin! The Marlin gave the boys quite a show and put up a great fight. It was a intense and exciting 18 minutes.
Thanks to guest Danny for allowing me to pull off a couple of still images from his GoPro video camera.
Here is Angler Bert fighting his 650lbs Black Marlin!
The boys also had another Marlin strike later in the day, but the Marlin managed to spit out the hook.
I hope that the boys are as lucky tomorrow as they where today.
